You already know what Powerboat Club membership feels like.
The forecast suddenly looks good. You have a free afternoon. Instead of wondering whether you should have bought a boat, you book one and go.
A trip around Poole Harbour. Lunch in Wareham. A run across to Swanage. Taking friends or family out. Or simply spending a few hours on the water because you can.
And when you come back to the marina, you hand the boat back rather than worrying about servicing it, maintaining it, antifouling it or finding somewhere to keep it.

We’ve created a seasonal membership specifically for people who have previously been members of Powerboat Club.
Start 1 April
Your returning-member season begins on 1 April 2027 and runs throughout spring and summer.
Finish 30 September
Enjoy six months through the heart of the boating season without initially committing to a full annual membership.

No marina berth to organise. No servicing schedule. No winter storage. No maintenance weekends. No depreciation to think about.
Just the part you joined the club for in the first place: going boating.
No joining fee. Instead, we get you back up to speed.
Returning members don’t need to go through the normal new-member joining process again.
Instead, there is an £800 return-to-club training fee.
We’ll use that training to refresh your skills, familiarise you with the current boats and make sure you’re comfortable with any club procedures that have changed since you were last with us.

This isn’t about testing whether you deserve to come back.
It’s about making your first days back enjoyable.
We’ll spend time getting you comfortable again with boat handling, the current fleet and anything else you’d like to refresh before heading out independently.

Your security deposit
The normal £1,500 refundable security deposit still applies.
When your membership ends, the deposit is returned subject to the normal membership terms and any properly due deductions.
What happens after September?
This offer is designed to bring you back for the season.
At the end of September you can finish your seasonal membership, or speak to us about continuing with the club.
You already know whether you enjoyed being a member.
The question isn’t whether Powerboat Club works. You’ve already experienced it. The question is whether you’d like another summer of it.

How much is the seasonal membership?
The six-month membership is £6,000.
Do I have to pay another joining fee?
No. Instead of the standard joining fee, returning members pay an £800 training fee. This covers refresher training, familiarisation with the current fleet and getting you comfortable with the club again.
Does the security deposit still apply?
Yes. The normal £1,500 refundable security deposit applies and is returned when you leave subject to the normal membership terms and any properly due deductions.
What happens after 30 September?
You can simply finish your seasonal membership or speak to us about continuing with Powerboat Club.
I’ve not driven a powerboat for a while. Is that a problem?
Not at all. That’s precisely why the returning-member package includes refresher and familiarisation training. We’ll get you comfortable again before you start using the boats independently.
