Our introductory seasonal membership gives you the opportunity to experience Powerboat Club through the best part of the boating year.
From 1 April until 30 September, you become part of the club: using the boats, developing your skills, joining trips and discovering whether the boating lifestyle really is for you.
No need to buy your own boat first.
The £1,500 security deposit is refundable subject to the membership terms and conditions.
Everything you need to actually use it.
Boat ownership can give you freedom. Unfortunately it also gives you a very long list of jobs. Club membership is designed around keeping the good bit.

That’s exactly why we’re here.
You don’t need to arrive as an expert skipper. Powerboat Club is run by professional mariners and supported by our affiliated RYA training school.
Training and coaching are part of the experience.
Start the season building confidence. Come back for a refresher. Ask us to work on berthing, close-quarters handling or passage planning. Take supported trips while you build experience.
The aim isn’t simply to give you access to boats. It’s to help you become the sort of skipper who is genuinely comfortable using them.
Because owning one isn’t the only way to enjoy one.
Buying a boat can be wonderful. But it also means committing capital and taking responsibility for everything that comes with ownership.

This isn’t a one-day experience. You have an entire season to learn, explore and find out what sort of boating you enjoy most.
Here’s exactly what it costs.
We want the financial commitment to be completely clear before you apply.
Of the £9,100 initial commitment, £1,500 is the refundable security deposit. The introductory membership itself is £6,000 for the six-month season, plus the £1,600 joining fee.
You’ll know whether this is the life for you.
That’s one of the reasons we created the introductory membership.
Rather than trying to decide whether boating will fit your lifestyle after a single course or day on the water, you have six months to actually live it.
At the end of the introductory season, you can decide whether you would like to continue with Powerboat Club or finish your membership at the end of September.
